European Game Funding – Creative Europe
Through Creative Europe the European Commission makes a total amount of 2,5 million Euros available for the development of games and game concepts which promise a high degree of originality, innovation and cultural diversity. At the same time, the games should have great potential for commercial exploitation in European and international markets. The funding is for independent European production companies that hold at least 50% of the rights of the project submitted and have already developed and produced a game; furthermore the companies must prove by means of a sales report that this game was commercially released in the last two years. For concept development up to playable prototypes the funding amounts between € 10.000 and 50.000. The application needs the prior online registration on the new ‘Participant Portal’.
