“Lords of the Fallen” produced by Frankurt based studio Deck13 wins German Computer Game Award 2015. The game also won the prize for Best Production.
The German Computer Game Award is a jointly sponsored political and business award, supported by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) and the BIU and GAME associations of the games industry. The award was launched by the Federal Government on the initiative of the German Parliament, together with the two industry associations. The focus is on promoting innovative, culturally or educationally valuable computer and video games which are mainly produced in Germany. Another feature that is particularly important for the award is having fun. An independent expert jury will decide on the award of prizes in 13 categories, including three international categories. In addition, an audience prize will be awarded. The DCP (German Computer Game Award) is the highest distinction for the German games industry. With a total prize money of 385,000 euros, which is supported equally by the BMVI and the sector organisations, BIU and GAME, the award is the most prestigious award for digital games in Germany.
The Audience Award went to “Dark Souls 2”, published by Bandai Namco Entertainment . The 2nd place of Best Youth Development went to the young team of Dynamic Deadlines for the project “UnderRaid”. The developer and founders of Dynamic Deadlines are graduates of University of Applied Science Darmstadt Dieburg.
